Continuing Projects

1. Church — TThe first foundation pour for the new parish center began on Friday, August 13, and is ongoing. The foundation is 75% completed.
2. Kearsage Parking Lot — Open and ready for use.
3. School — The Science Room/Resource Classroom is completed and operational.
4. Electrical Utility Work — Ongoing throughout the project. Power will be shut down at the school on Tuesday, August 31.

Adoration Chapel

A new wood chip sidewalk leading from the new Kearsage St. parking lot along the north side of the Convent building to the entrance of the chapel is in place and operational.

Please remember…

• Pedestrian Walkways — For your safety, do not bypass the safety fences around the construction areas and please watch your step.
• Rectory Entrance — Please access the parish offices via the new Kearsage St. parking lot and ring the bell at the door on the north side of the rectory garage. This is the only entrance to the Rectory and business office. Do not try to use the front door. The Rectory offices open at 9:00 A.M. during this phase of construction.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding with the detours and inconveniences during our building project. All these disruptions will have been worth it once we have our new facilities. If you have any questions, please contact Deacon Tony at the Rectory.

You are invited to the annual Back To School Coffee, hosted by the CCW, Tuesday, August 24, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.  Drop off your school children and come to the Valentino Center to enjoy delicious refreshments, socialize, and reconnect with people you haven’t seen all summer!

This will also be a wonderful opportunity for you to volunteer and/or gather information on many events that CCW sponsors throughout the school year, from Hot Lunch and the annual Christmas Bazaar to Reverence for Life and the annual Fashion Show, just to name a few.  Get involved!  There is something for everyone!

Also, back by popular demand, the School Board will be selling Magnets for $5 and School calendars for $15.  The important “VIS” dates have already been written on the calendar – it’s a must-have!

Also, the School Board will have a representative from Market Day at the Coffee to showcase it’s latest Lifestyle fundraiser and there will also be Dinner Dance volunteer opportunities.

Important Note: The Uniform Resale has been cancelled this year due to the majority of the inventory damaged by the summer flood.  Sorry for the inconvenience!

The CCW Board, School Activities Committee, and myself are looking forward to greeting you Tuesday the 24th!  Hope to see you there!

2. Kearsage Parking Lot — The lot will be available beginning this weekend (August 15–16) for parking. The Kearsage Street sidewalk will be the only route to the Church.
3. School — Finishing work is being done this week in the Science Room/Resource Classroom. We anticipate completion by the first week of school.

Continuing Projects

1. Church — Madison Street sidewalks and grading will begin this week. Beginning Monday, only the Madison street entrances to church will be available. There is some sidewalk work that will be done during the week. Weather permitting, our regular entrances should be available for weekend services.
2. Kearsage Parking Lot — Due to weather conditions this week, the parking lot completion is pending. Completion should be no later than next week.
3. School — The Science Room renovations are continuing at a very good pace and should be completed by the time school begins. Work on the Learning Center is beginning this week.

Adoration Chapel Parking in School Lot

While the remainder of the Kearsage parking lot is repaved and new storm sewers are installed, parking for the Adoration Chapel will be in the school parking lot. A designated area on the west side of the lot has been marked off for chapel parking near the north York Road entrance by the main entrance of the school. Please use the York Road sidewalk to reach the chapel. Also, overnight parking on Adams Street is allowed as well as during the day.
