			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dear Visitation Parish Family,</p>
<p>I want to invite all who are interested in praying through their gift of music at our masses to join one of our musical ensembles and become part of our Music Ministry. If you feel the call to offer your gift to the service of our Sacred Liturgies, please <a href="http://main.visitationparish.org/ministries-groups/music-ministry/mm-contact-us/">contact me</a> to set up a personal interview. Dates and starting times for each choir are listed below and on our Parish Website on the Music Ministry tab. A yearlong schedule will be available at the first rehearsal and will also be posted on the Parish web site.</p>
<p><strong>Adult Choir</strong></p>
<blockquote><p>Sings every Sunday September to June at the 10:00 AM Mass and on Feast Days.  Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 7:00-9:00 PM in the Church. First rehearsal is Tuesday, September 7, 2010.</p></blockquote>
<p><strong>High School Chorale</strong></p>
<blockquote><p>Sings 3 weekend masses per month and Feast Days. Rehearsals are Mondays from 8:00-9:00 PM in the Church. First rehearsal  is Monday, August 16, 2010.</p></blockquote>
<p><strong>Middle School Ensemble</strong></p>
<blockquote><p>For students in grades 6-8. Sings 2 weekend masses per month and Feast Days. Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 3:45-4:45 PM in the Church. First rehearsal is Tuesday, September 7, 2010.</p></blockquote>
<p><strong>Children&#8217;s Choir</strong></p>
<blockquote><p>For students in grades 3-5. Sings 2 weekend masses per month and Feast Days. Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 3:30-4:20 PM in the Church. First rehearsal is Wednesday, September 8, 2010.</p></blockquote>
<p><strong>Parish Brass</strong></p>
<blockquote><p>Plays on Christmas and Easter and on special occasions. Rehearsals times TBA. <em>Contact Director Ed Bartholomew at 630-954-4723</em>.</p></blockquote>

Church — Work is 90% complete and we are on target to resume weekend Masses in the Church on July 31–August 1.
Kearsage Parking Lot — The strike is over. Work resumed on Wednesday, July 21.

<h3>Adoration Chapel Parking in School Lot</h3>
<blockquote><p>While the remainder of the Kearsage parking lot is repaved and new storm sewers are installed, parking for the Adoration Chapel will be in the school parking lot. A designated area on the west side of the lot has been marked off for chapel parking near the north York Road entrance by the main entrance of the school. Please use the York Road sidewalk to reach the chapel. Also, overnight parking on Adams Street is allowed as well as during the day.</p></blockquote>
<h3>Church Closed for Four Weeks this Summer</h3>
<blockquote><p>The Church and Podesta Hall will be closed from June 28 until July 28 for the installation of a water sprinkling system. This system is required by the city because of the addition of the parish center to the church building. Sunday and weekdays Masses as well as confessions will be held in the Valentino Center during this time. Funerals will be celebrated at Ascension of Our Lord Church in Oakbrook Terrace. We are grateful to Fr. Donnelly, the incoming pastor of Ascension Parish, for allowing us to use the church during this time.</p></blockquote>
<h3>Please remember&#8230;</h3>

<ul>
<li><strong>Pedestrian Walkways</strong> — For your safety, do not bypass the safety fences around the construction areas.</li>
<li><strong>Rectory Entrance</strong> — Please access the parish offices by ringing the bell at the door on the north side of the rectory garage. The Rectory offices open at 9:00 a.m. during this phase of construction.</li>
</ul>

<p>Thank you for your continued patience and understanding with the detours and inconveniences during our building project. All these disruptions will have been worth it once we have our new facilities. If you have any questions, please contact Deacon Tony at the Rectory.</p>
